Maine PUC Denies Good Cause Exemption for West River Solar Project

AUGUSTA, Maine, Feb. 1 -- The Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has denied DG West River Solar, LLC's petition for a good cause exemption regarding its 4.99 MW solar project in Augusta. The decision, issued January 31, 2025, means the project will not be eligible for Net Energy Billing (NEB) in Maine unless it achieves commercial operation by December 31, 2024, a deadline the project is now unlikely to meet.
