ALBANY, New York, Feb. 1 -- The New York Public Service Commission (PSC) has fined J. Brownie Contracting Inc. $10,000 for damaging a gas service line for the second time within a year. The latest incident occurred on September 18, 2024, at 124 Central Parkway, Merrick, New York, when the company damaged a 1/2-inch low-pressure plastic gas service during building demolition.
