ALBANY, New York, Feb. 1 -- The New York Public Service Commission (PSC) has imposed a $2,500 penalty on The L.C. Whitford Co. Inc. for damaging a gas distribution main during excavation work. The incident occurred on October 3, 2024, at 129 Marina Drive, Montour Falls, New York, when the company damaged a 6-inch high-pressure plastic gas main while installing a cross culvert sleeve.
