ALBANY, New York, Jan. 31 -- The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) has been fined $1,500 by the New York Public Service Commission (PSC) for damaging a gas distribution main during a roadway guard rail installation project. The incident occurred on April 23, 2024, in the service territory of The Brooklyn Union Gas Company d/b/a National Grid NY. The PSC issued an order adopting the terms of a consent agreement with the DOT on January 23, 2025, effective January 30, 2025.
