WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 (TNSFR) -- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing new rules to address emissions of ethylene oxide (EtO) from chemical manufacturing processes. The proposal includes the addition of EtO to the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for Chemical Manufacturing Area Sources. This change will introduce new requirements for chemical manufacturing units that use EtO, aiming to reduce hazardous air pollutant emissions.
