Khan Iftekharuddin, Ph.D., was named the inaugural director of Old Dominion University's Virginia Beach Data Science Institute. Opened in November 2023, the institute is a hub for research, collaboration and instruction, bringing together interdisciplinary teams to discover solutions to complex societal challenges the Hampton Roads community faces.
