FRANKFORT, Kentucky, Jan. 18 -- The Kentucky Public Service Commission has granted Duke Energy Kentucky a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to replace a portion of its aging AM07 natural gas pipeline.
The Commission determined that replacing the pipeline with modern materials is the most cost-effective and safest long-term solution, despite higher initial costs compared to alternative options like pressure testing or retrofitting the existing pipeline.
