BEAUMONT, Texas, Jan. 17 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas issued the following news release:
A Romanian national convicted of plotting to traffic hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from the United States in a scheme that also included money laundering, arms trafficking, and an attempt to assassinate rival gang members, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs.
