DES MOINES, Iowa, Jan. 16 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa issued the following news release:
Two Iowa healthcare practitioners have entered into civil settlements to resolve allegations that they violated the False Claims Act by knowingly causing the submission of false or fraudulent claims to Medicare as part of a telemedicine scheme.
Nurse practitioner Cori Lempiainen has agreed to pay $150,000 to the United States to resolve alleg . . .
