Harvard's Peabody Museum Announces Repatriation of Native American Human Remains

WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 (TNSFR) -- Harvard University's Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology (PMAE) has completed an inventory of human remains and confirmed their cultural affiliation with the Pueblo of Zia, New Mexico.

The remains, collected between 1930 and 1933 at the U.S. Indian Vocational School in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, consist of hair clippings from four individuals, all Native American and identified as young people ranging from 12 to 15 years old. The rema . . .
