WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 (TNSFR) -- The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has announced its intent to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) for a proposed offshore wind energy facility located in Lease Area OCS-A 0544, offshore New York. Vineyard Mid-Atlantic, LLC, the company behind the proposal, seeks approval to construct and operate a wind farm that could generate up to 2 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy.
