WASHINGTON, Dec. 27 (TNSFR) -- The Department of Education has announced the withdrawal of a proposed rule that would have amended regulations under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The rule sought to remove the requirement for public agencies to obtain parental consent before accessing a child's or parent's public benefits or insurance, such as Medicaid, for the first time to fund services outlined in a student's individualized education program ( . . .
