Today, Thursday, December 26, 2024, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05) released the following statement in response to the MTA's recent decision to no longer pursue surge pricing as part of the Congestion Tax. This would have allowed the MTA to charge commuters an extra 25% Uber-style "surge pricing" on any day they want to.
