WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 -- The National Transportation Safety Board issued the following news release:

Alvin Brown, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board and former mayor of Jacksonville, Florida, was designated Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, by President Biden to serve as vice chairman of the independent safety agency.
