WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Rep. Nancy Mace, R-South Carolina, issued the following statement on Dec. 19, 2024:

"The bipartisan addiction to reckless spending has put our nation in an extremely precarious financial position. The 1,547 page "CR" would have just made it worse. If Congress can't agree to a bill that cuts reckless spending, then a partial government shutdown might be the only way to force Washington to get serious about its budget.
