AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 19 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas issued the following news release:
Lafayette RE Management LLC, a private asset manager based in New York City, and Thibault Adrien, Lafayette's founder and majority owner, have agreed to pay $680,000 to settle allegations that they violated the False Claims Act by knowingly making false certifications to the government in applying for, and receiving forgiveness of, a Paycheck Protection Prog . . .
