WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 -- Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Georgia, issued the following news release:

Savannah, Ga. U.S Senator Jon Ossoff's legislation to strengthen U.S. national security at Hunter Army Airfield passed the U.S. Senate.

Sen. Ossoff introduced the Hunter Army Airfield Support Act to authorize construction of a new parachute training and maintenance facility for special operations forces at the Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield, a key first step for the project.
