SPRINGFIELD, Illinois, Dec. 18 -- The Illinois Supreme Court issued the following news release:
Third District Appellate Court Justice Mary W. McDade has announced her retirement after 24 years on the bench in the Third District Appellate Court, during which time she became the first Black woman to serve on the Illinois Appellate Court outside of Cook County. Her retirement is effective December 31, 2024.
Justice McDade was born in Columbia, South Carolina, in August 19 . . .
