DENVER, Colorado, Dec. 18 -- Gov. Jared Polis, D-Colorado, issued the following news release on Dec. 17, 2024:

Governor Polis appointed Kevin Van Winkle as the Douglas County Commissioner for District 3.

This appointment fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Lora L. Thomas on December 6, 2024, and is effective immediately.
