MADISON, Wisconsin, Dec. 18 -- Gov. Tony Evers, D-Wisconsin, issued the following news release on Dec. 17, 2024:

Gov. Tony Evers today signed Executive Order #248 ordering the flags of the United States and the state of Wisconsin to be flown at half-staff beginning on Mon., Dec. 16, 2024, in honor of the victims of the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison.
