ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, Dec. 12 -- The city of Alexandria issued the following news release on Dec. 10, 2024:

The City of Alexandria's new Police Chief, Tarrick McGuire was officially sworn in by the City of Alexandria Chief Circuit Court Judge, Lisa B. Kemler, on December 10, 2024.
