Virginia Congressman Bob Good (VA-05) and Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner introduced the Blue Ridge Fire Safety Act of 2024, a bipartisan and bicameral piece of legislation that clarifies that the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the National Park Service (NPS), has the authority to grant a permit for the construction of an emergency access road on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
