LANSING, Michigan, Dec. 5 -- Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, D-Michigan, issued the following news release on Dec. 3, 2024:
Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed House Bills 4127 and 4128 into law, making it illegal to possess a firearm at polling locations across the state. These commonsense bills build on the Whitmer-Gilchrist administration's commitment to defending fair and free elections by reducing the threat of voter intimidation and suppression.
