N.H. U.S. Attorney: Hudson Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for 21 Months for Stealing COVID Relief Funds, Agreed to Pay Almost $500,000 For Violating False Claims Act

CONCORD, New Hampshire, Dec. 3 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Hampshire issued the following news release:

A Hudson man was sentenced today in federal court for stealing $342,650 in COVID-19 relief funds and attempting to steal an additional $150,000 U.S. Attorney Jane E. Young announces.

Matthew Dispensa, 58, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Joseph N. Laplante to 21 months in prison and 2 years of supervised release. The defendant . . .
