Third-party AI add-ons for Zoom and Teams to be disabled; no change for Microsoft Teams transcription/recording and Zoom AI Companion

NASHVILLE, Tennessee, Nov. 25 -- Vanderbilt University issued the following news:

Third-party AI add-ons integrated with Zoom and Microsoft Teams, such as Otter.ai, Read.ai, Rev Meeting Hub and other meeting summarization apps, will be disabled across the Vanderbilt University network. Read.AI was disabled on Nov. 18. Otter.ai and others will be disabled on Dec. 1. Built-in transcription and summarization features in Teams and Zoom will remain available.
