ICC Approves Rail Safety Upgrades for Marion County

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois, Nov. 22 -- The Illinois Commerce Commission issued the following news release on Nov. 21, 2024:

Today, the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) greenlit two public safety rail improvement projects for Marion County. New automatic flashing light signals with gates will be installed at the County Road 1900 North (AAR/DOT #167791D) and County Road 1800 North (AAR/DOT #167789C) highway-rail grade crossings of the Union Pacific Railroad Company's tracks near Kinmundy . . .
