Six Tribes Sign Historic Preservation Agreements With National Park Service

WASHINGTON, Nov. 15 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service issued the following news release:

The National Park Service (NPS) signed six Tribal Historic Preservation agreements with Tribes across the country in the 2024 fiscal year that ended September 30, transferring to Tribes certain historic preservation responsibilities that would otherwise be the responsibility of the state in which a Tribe is located.
