KANSAS CITY, Missouri, Nov. 8 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri issued the following news release on Nov. 7, 2024:
A North Carolina woman was indicted by a federal grand jury today for fraudulently obtaining a $20,000 Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
Lakeysha Day, 43, was charged with one count of wire fraud in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury . . .
