WASHINGTON, Oct. 26 -- Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-New York, issued the following news release on Oct. 25, 2024:

Tomorrow, Congressman Ritchie Torres (NY-15) will introduce The Affordable Remittance Act into the U.S. House of Representatives.

The Affordable Remittance Act aims to increase access to the FedNow payment system for affordable remittance providers. This bill mandates that the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System make FedNow available to such providers . . .
