WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 -- George Washington University issued the following news:

Residents in Asheville, North Carolina are still without clean drinking water, weeks after Hurricane Helene devastated large parts of the U.S. Southeast. State and federal officials are trying to treat the North Fork Reservoir directly; usually clean several feet below the surface, the reservoir remains murky brown from sediment.
