BOSTON, Massachusetts, Oct. 4 -- The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority issued the following news on Oct. 3, 2024:
The MBTA today announced that Green Line service resumed between North Station and Union Square and between North Station and Medford/Tufts at 10:30 AM following a derailment that occurred on Tuesday, October 1, around 5 PM near Lechmere.
"We sincerely apologize for this incident and thank the public for their patience while we worked to resume . . .
