WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 -- The National Republican Congressional Committee issued the following news:

New polling out this morning shows the race for Colorado's 8th district is TIED 44% to 44% and it's packed full of promising news for Gabe Evans.

* He is winning independent voters by 8 points

* He has a higher favorability than Caraveo at 49%

* He has a better overall image
