MONTGOMERY, Alabama, Sept. 28 -- Gov. Kay Ivey, R-Alabama, issued the following news release on Sept. 27, 2024:
Governor Kay Ivey on Friday announced the retirement of Alabama Department of Labor Secretary Fitzgerald Washington. She also shared she is appointing her former Cabinet member, Marty Redden, to lead the Department as it transitions to the Department of Workforce.
