SYRACUSE, New York, Sept. 12 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York issued the following news release on Sept. 10, 2024:
Louis LaPolla, age 79, of Utica, New York, was sentenced today in federal court in Syracuse to 3 years of probation, after previously pleading guilty to mail fraud for soliciting and then stealing donations intended for a scholarship fund in his late wife's name.
