WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency issued the following news release:

In response to the ongoing wildfires across California and Nevada, FEMA has approved federal funding to assist local authorities in managing active wildfires, including the Airport, Boyles, Bridge, Davis, and Line Fires.
