DEA-New Orleans Division: Texarkana Physician Sentenced to More Than 7 Years in Federal Prison for Prescribing Controlled Substances Without Legitimate Medical Purpose

TEXARKANA, Arkansas, Aug. 28 -- The U.S. Justice Department's Drug Enforcement Administration's New Orleans Division issued the following news release on Aug. 26, 2024:

A Texarkana Physician was sentenced today to 87 months in prison followed by three years of supervised on two counts of Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Substance Without an Effective Prescription and 12 months in prison followed by one year of supervised release on two counts of Distribution of a Schedule V . . .
