N.J. U.S. Attorney: Former Mail Carrier Convicted of Receiving Bribes, Fraud Conspiracy and Drug Conspiracy

CAMDEN, New Jersey, Aug. 21 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey issued the following news release on Aug. 20, 2024:

A former U.S. Postal Service (USPS) mail carrier has been convicted of bribery, fraud, and conspiracy charges, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced today.

Emerson Pavilus, 49, of Union, New Jersey, was convicted on Aug. 15, 2024, on all three counts of an indictment charging him with receiving bribes as a public officia . . .
