WASHINGTON, Aug. 13 -- Rep. Daniel Kildee, D-Michigan, issued the following news release:
FLINT--Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-08), member of the Ways and Means Committee, has introduced new bipartisan legislation to support affordable housing in rural communities.
The Preserving Rural Housing Investments Act would clarify in the tax code that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are not tax-exempt entities, helping to protect the investments these organizations make in rural housin . . .
