JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri, Aug. 8 -- Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey issued the following news release on Aug. 7, 2024:
Today, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced that the State Tax Commission issued an order rolling back Jackson County's unlawful 2023 property assessments. The State Tax Commission was able to do so after obtaining information through discovery in Attorney General Bailey's lawsuit against Jackson County for illegally taxing Jackson County proper . . .
