ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, Aug. 7 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Education Activity issued the following news release:
Rachel Billups, a teacher at Edgren High School in Misawa, Japan, has been named the 2024 DoDEA History Teacher of the Year by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Established in 2004, this award recognizes exceptional elementary through high school teachers for their outstanding contributions to American history education.
