On Saturday, July 27, 2024, Congressman Al Green joined Francisco Vazquez, Medical Center Director of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, in collaboration with Combined Arms (a veterans and community support organization) as well as the Houston Food Bank, to distribute free food to veterans and their family members to aid in recovery from Hurricane Beryl.
