WASHINGTON, July 25 -- Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Florida, issued the following news release on July 23, 2024:
In response to the Federal Bureau of Prisons Director, Colette Peters, testifying in the House Judiciary Committee, U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) introduced the "Resentencing Integrity Act of 2024" today, to ensure federal prosecutors do not retaliate against January 6th defendants petitioning for resentencing.
