On May 23, 2024, Army Maj. Tracy Mankowski became the Minnesota National Guard's first female service member to graduate from the U.S. Army's School of Advanced Military Studies, or SAMS, under their Advanced Military Studies Program, or AMSP, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
