WASHINGTON, July 11 -- Rep. Ron Estes, R-Kansas, issued the following news release on July 10, 2024:
Today, Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) voted for the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which passed the House 216 to 198. While federal law makes it illegal for a non-citizen to vote i federal elections, this bill enhances the integrity of U.S. elections by requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and would direct states to remove non-citizens . . .
