WASHINGTON, July 10 -- Rep. Barry Moore, R-Alabama, issued the following news release:
Today, Rep. Barry Moore voted in favor of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act(link is external), sponsored by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX). This legislation amends the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to require proof of United States citizenship to register an individual to vote in elections for Federal office. Moore is a co-sponsor of this legislation.
