WASHINGTON, July 9 -- Rep. John P. Sarbanes, D-Maryland, issued the following news release:
Today, U.S. Senators Chris Van Hollen and Ben Cardin and U.S. Congressmen John Sarbanes and Kweisi Mfume (all D-Md.) announced $960,000 in federal funding to better connect Howard County commuters to Baltimore-area transit services. The grant will allow the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and Howard County to purchase two heavy-duty transit buses to extend the existing Route 409 . . .
