ST. PAUL, Minnesota, July 4 -- Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minnesota, issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS: Disability Pride Month is observed in July to celebrate the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) which was signed into law on July 26, 1990; and
WHEREAS: Nearly one in four adults in the United States have a disability, making it absolutely critical that we create accessible spaces throughout our communities as to not neglect this massive percentage of our population; . . .
