WASHINGTON, July 2 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
Today, the U.S. Department of Labor announced a proposed rule that would implement much of the plan that U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) developed to protect workers from extreme heat on the job. Brown led a bicameral group of colleagues in pushing the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to implement a federal workplace heat standard based off of Brown's Heat Illness and Fatality . . .
