OROVILLE, California, July 2 -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals issued the following news release:
PETA has confirmed that the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation was responsible for the malnourished tiger cub who made headlines this year after being transferred to the Oakland Zoo for treatment and then to the Performing Animal Welfare Society sanctuary in San Andreas. The cub, named Shyra, was confiscated from Kirshner by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife . . .
