WASHINGTON, June 28 -- Sen. Cynthia M. Lummis, R-Wyoming, issued the following news release:
Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court announced its decision in the Loper Bright v. Raimondo case, overturning the Chevron doctrine and reining in runaway agencies' sweeping authority.
"For far too long, the Chevron doctrine has empowered unelected and unaccountable federal bureaucrats to have virtually uninhibited power . . .
